Priory Cottage

Designed in open-concept living area, this room is perfect for a long-term rest

Welcome to our charming, upside-down holiday cottage, once a barn and now beautifully converted with an abundance of woodwork, beams, and deep window sills. This self-catering retreat is perfect for a relaxing getaway.

The open-plan living room and kitchen are accessed via stone steps leading to a stable door. Inside, you’ll find a pale pine kitchen adorned with pretty tiles and equipped with all modern conveniences: an electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, microwave, and ample crockery and utensils. The sitting and dining area offers lovely views over gardens and down the wooded valley leading to the sea. Comfortable furnishings, a wood-burning stove, a TV/DVD, iPod dock, and CD/radio make this space ideal for cozy evenings in, whether you’re unwinding with a bottle of wine or relaxing after an adventurous day.

Downstairs, you’ll find a double bedroom with a 4’6″ bed and a king-sized duvet (no more duvet hogging!), a twin room with hand-built old pine cabin beds, and a pretty bathroom featuring a shower over the bath, underfloor heating, bright Agatha Ruiz tiles, and plenty of space for your personal items. Each downstairs room overlooks the enclosed private patio, where you’ll discover a table, chairs, and a Firepit/BBQ—perfect for warm summer evenings. Across the drive, there’s an enclosed lawn area known as The Mowhay.

The cottage is equipped with electric panel radiators throughout, ensuring a cozy atmosphere in winter and a delightful stay during the warmer months. We also provide books, board games, toys, and a selection of DVDs for your enjoyment.

All electricity and heating costs are included in the price, as are linen and towels. We do ask that you bring your own beach towels.

Come and enjoy a perfect retreat at our holiday cottage, whether you’re seeking a peaceful winter escape or a sunny summer getaway.
