A lot of life in Cornwall revolves around the water, and we’re fortunate to have several excellent organisations nearby to make water activities accessible.
Here are some companies that we or our family members have used, though there are many more to choose from.
Coverack Windsurfing Centre – Catering for all levels, they can also provide kayaks and SUP’s, all of which can be used in the safety of Coverack bay. They can arrange boating and fishing trips as well.
Porthkerris Diving –Run by Mike and Jo Anselmi, they offer shore and boat diving around the stunning Manacles Marine Conservation Zone, plus courses for beginners. Fishing is £2.00 per day plus a parking charge and you can launch your kayaks from the cove here.
Mylor Boat Hire – offering boat hire and kayaking in the Helford Passage. Located by the creekside Pandora Inn, if you time it right you can enjoy dinner at the inn while the kids play on the small beach opposite!
AK Wildlife Cruises – boat trips of varying lengths running from Falmouth Bay. While sightings obviously cannot be guaranteed, they have huge success in spotting dolphins, harbour porpoise and even the occasional minke whale!
Kennack Sands Surf School – Situated on possibly the world’s best rock pooling beach, this surf school will get you standing on your board in no time!
